Finance Minister Dr. Yaqoub Al-Rafai held talks today, Sunday, with Paramita Tripathi, the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the State of Kuwait, to explore ways of developing joint cooperation and enhancing economic and investment partnerships between the two friendly countries.
The Ministry of Finance stated in a press release that both sides affirmed during the meeting the strength of the historical ties between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of India, and the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation in various economic and financial fields, in order to serve the mutual interests of the two countries.
It added that existing areas of cooperation and opportunities for their development were reviewed, particularly in the fields of investment, technological cooperation, and economic development, which contribute to supporting sustainable economic growth and enhancing the exchange of expertise and knowledge between the two sides.
The ministry clarified that the meeting addressed a number of topics of common interest and economic developments on both the regional and international fronts.
It noted that both sides also stressed the importance of strengthening economic dialogue and intensifying communication between the relevant authorities in the two countries, thereby supporting the prospects for bilateral cooperation and opening new avenues for economic and financial partnership.
Both sides expressed their aspiration to continue joint efforts to enhance Kuwait-India relations and advance them toward broader horizons.
