Finance Minister Discusses Ways to Enhance Economic and Investment Cooperation with Indian Ambassador

Kuwait’s Minister of Finance, Dr. Yaqoub Al-Rafai, held talks today, Sunday, with Paramita Tripathi, the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the State of Kuwait, to explore ways to develop joint cooperation and strengthen economic and investment partnerships between the two friendly countries.

The Ministry of Finance stated in a press release that both sides reaffirmed during the meeting the strong historical ties between Kuwait and India, and emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation across various economic and financial fields to serve the mutual interests of both nations.

It added that existing areas of cooperation and opportunities for their development were reviewed, particularly in the fields of investment, technological cooperation, and economic development, contributing to sustainable economic growth and enhancing the exchange of expertise and knowledge between the two sides.

The ministry clarified that the meeting addressed several topics of mutual interest, as well as economic developments on both the regional and international stages. It noted that both sides also stressed the importance of strengthening economic dialogue and intensifying communication between the relevant authorities in the two countries, thereby supporting the prospects for bilateral cooperation and opening new avenues for economic and financial partnerships.

Both sides expressed their aspiration to continue joint efforts to enhance Kuwait-India relations and advance them toward broader horizons.
