Al-Rifai and Indian Ambassador Discuss Strengthening Economic and Investment Partnership

Kuwait’s Minister of Finance, Dr. Yaqoub Al-Rafai, received the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Kuwait, Paramita Tripathi, to discuss ways to develop joint cooperation and strengthen the economic and investment partnership between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides affirmed the strength of the historical ties between Kuwait and the Republic of India, and emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation across various economic and financial fields to serve the mutual interests of both nations. They also reviewed existing areas of cooperation and opportunities for their development, particularly in investment, technological cooperation, and economic development, in ways that contribute to supporting sustainable economic growth and enhancing the exchange of expertise and knowledge between the two sides.

The meeting also addressed a number of topics of mutual interest and economic developments on both the regional and international fronts. Both sides stressed the importance of enhancing economic dialogue and intensifying communication between the relevant authorities in the two countries, thereby supporting the prospects for bilateral cooperation and opening new avenues for economic and financial partnership.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their aspiration to continue joint efforts to strengthen Kuwait-India relations and advance them toward broader horizons.
