The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Wednesday that they have taken control of positions held by Houthi militias in the Al-Jawf governorate in the north of the country, as part of the “Yemen’s Dawn” operation, and have neutralized approximately 340 Houthi fighters and commanders during military operations across various fronts.

Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said in a statement that units from the First and Second Emergency Divisions managed to seize Houthi positions in the areas of Um Al-Lafifa, Qurun Al-Subayr, and Dihyda Al-Aqar in Al-Jawf governorate.

He added that the Armed Forces and the Popular Resistance achieved field advances on several fronts in Taizz governorate, repelling Houthi attempts to recapture positions they had lost, inflicting human and material losses on them.

Al-Nazili clarified that the Armed Forces carried out 1,321 targeting operations against militia positions and their military capabilities across the battlefronts, resulting in the neutralization of approximately 340 of their fighters and commanders, and the destruction and damage of 114 military vehicles, armored vehicles, and equipment.

He emphasized the continuation of military operations and field advances to achieve the objectives of the “Yemen’s Dawn” operation, while taking necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian property.
