“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs”: An overt violation of the sanctity of Islamic holy sites... The security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Kuwait’s and the Gulf’s security
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the ongoing terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia on several areas in the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including an attempt to target Mecca and Medina with two ballistic missiles.
The Ministry stressed in a statement on Sunday that these attacks constitute an overt violation of the sanctity of Islamic holy sites, a disregard for their religious significance, and an affront to the feelings of Muslims, as well as a violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a breach of international law.
It reaffirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty and security, protect the Two Holy Mosques, and preserve their sanctity.
The Ministry commended the vigilance and effectiveness of Saudi air defenses in countering these attacks, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
