The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the ongoing terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia on several areas in the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including an attempt to target Mecca and Medina with two ballistic missiles. It emphasized that this cowardly and despicable act constitutes a blatant violation of the sanctity of Islamic holy sites, a disregard for their religious significance, an affront to the feelings of Muslims, a breach of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, and a violation of international law.
The Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures undertaken to safeguard its sovereignty and security, as well as to protect the Two Holy Mosques and preserve their sanctity. It commended the vigilance and effectiveness of Saudi air defenses in countering these attacks, and stressed that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
