(KUNA) – Kuwait’s Minister of Oil, Tariq Al-Roumi, will lead the Kuwaiti delegation participating in the 37th meeting of the Cooperation Committee for the Petroleum Industries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain tomorrow, Monday, to discuss several issues related to enhancing joint Gulf cooperation in the oil and energy sectors.
The Ministry of Oil said in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday that the ministers will discuss agenda items and recommendations submitted by relevant committees and working groups, as well as follow up on several files and programs related to developing cooperation among GCC countries in the energy sector.
It added that Kuwait’s participation stems from its commitment to supporting and strengthening Gulf cooperation in the oil and energy fields, and contributing to advancing joint work initiatives that serve the common interests of the GCC states.
The Kuwaiti delegation accompanying the minister includes Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil Sheikh Dr. Namar Fahad Al-Malki Al-Sabah; Director of the Public Relations and Petroleum Media Department at the Ministry of Oil, Sheikha Tamazud Khalid Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; Director of the Planning and International Relations Department at the Ministry of Oil, Omar Al-Wasmi; and Head of the Office of the Chairman of the Board of Directors Team at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Nasser Al-Namshan.
