Oil Minister Heads Kuwait Delegation to 37th Meeting of GCC Petroleum Cooperation Committee in Bahrain

Kuwait’s Minister of Oil, Tariq Al-Roumi, is leading the Kuwaiti delegation participating in the 37th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Petroleum Cooperation Committee, scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain tomorrow, Monday, to discuss a number of topics related to enhancing the progress of joint GCC efforts in the oil and energy sectors.

The Ministry of Oil said in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday that ministers will discuss agenda items and recommendations submitted by relevant committees and working groups, as well as follow up on several files and programs related to developing cooperation among GCC states in the energy sector.

It added that Kuwait’s participation stems from its commitment to supporting and strengthening GCC cooperation in the oil and energy fields, and contributing to advancing joint work paths in a manner that serves the common interests of the GCC states.

The Kuwaiti delegation accompanying the minister includes Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Malki Al-Sabah; Director of the Public Relations and Petroleum Media Department at the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Tamadur Khalid Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; Director of the Planning and International Relations Department at the Ministry of Oil, Omar Al-Wasmi; and Head of the Chairman of the Board of Directors’ Office Affairs Team at the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Naser Al-Namshan.
