Syrian singer Asala Nasri revealed that her jewelry box was stolen during her concert tour in the United States. She said she discovered its disappearance from her bag at the hotel the morning after her performance in Detroit, which was her final stop on the tour.
Asala recounted in a post on her X (formerly Twitter) account that she changed her jewelry at the hotel before heading to the concert, then returned to her room and went to sleep. In the morning, when she opened her bag to change her earring as usual, she was shocked to find the entire jewelry box missing.
She stated that among the lost items were pieces bearing her late father’s name and portrait, and that she had waited more than a year to have them prepared.
She added that police had visited the hotel, but she had received no news about the jewelry for nearly two weeks.
She explained that she hesitated to publicize the incident so as not to overshadow her tour, which she said exceeded expectations, beginning in Los Angeles, passing through New Jersey, and concluding in Detroit.
Asala concluded her post by mentioning her upcoming meeting with her audience in Dubai at the “UAE Loves Syria” event, expressing her eagerness to perform for her fans after what she described as a difficult period.
