Qatargas: One of Our Tankers Attacked While Navigating the Arabian Gulf

Qatar LNG Company, known as “Qatargas,” announced that its liquefied natural gas carrier, the Al Maydah, was attacked by unidentified objects while sailing in the Arabian Gulf on Friday evening. The Qatar News Agency reported on Sunday, citing a company statement, that no crew members were injured and the incident had no environmental impact. The company stated that the vessel is in a safe condition and under full control, adding that relevant authorities are assessing the damage caused by the incident. It emphasized that it is maintaining direct coordination with the ship, its crew, and regional maritime security authorities to ensure the safety of the crew, while closely monitoring developments in the situation.
