Kuwait City, Oct 15 (KUNA) — Kuwait’s Minister of Education, Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaee, issued a decision today, Thursday, canceling all results of the fourth-stage examinations for applicants seeking educational supervisory positions and ordering a re-examination for all candidates.
In a press statement, the Ministry of Education explained that this decision follows the completion of the work by an independent investigation committee tasked with reviewing observations, complaints, and violations raised earlier by applicants and educational professionals regarding the aforementioned exams.
The ministry emphasized that the decision is based on the committee’s findings, aiming to ensure the integrity of the procedures governing the exams and to verify that any administrative decisions resulting from them are derived from correct and sound evidence, thereby enhancing confidence in the selection system for supervisory roles and reinforcing the principle that educational responsibilities must be assigned on objective grounds and through disciplined procedures free from irregularities.
The ministry stressed that safeguarding the integrity of the exams and protecting applicants’ rights is a responsibility that allows no negligence. Addressing observations and complaints from the educational field stems from a commitment to review procedures, verify their integrity, and take necessary corrective measures to preserve the credibility of administrative processes and strengthen trust in the mechanisms for filling educational supervisory positions.
It added that the dates, venues, duration of each exam, and the prescribed scientific content for the re-exams will be determined and officially announced at a later date. All applicants who attended the leadership training courses for the fourth stage will be informed of all details to ensure procedural clarity and enable them to prepare for the exams based on official and published information.
Earlier, the Minister of Education had directed the formation of an independent committee comprising specialists from the Fatwa and Legislation Department and the Ministry of Education to investigate the observations and violations that marred the fourth stage of the selection process for educational supervisory positions at the Ministry of Education for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Upon completing its work, the committee submitted its final report to Minister Al-Tabtabaee, which included the findings of the review and investigation into the observations and violations under scrutiny. Based on the report’s conclusions, the decision to cancel all fourth-stage exam results and require all applicants to retake the exams was adopted. (End) M.A.R. / T.A.B.
