Alaa Khalifa: Education Minister M. Syed Jalal Al-Tabatabai issued a decision to annul all results of the fourth-stage examinations for candidates applying for educational supervisory positions and to re-administer the exams to all applicants.
The Ministry of Education stated in a press release that this decision follows the completion of the work of the neutral investigation committee, which examined observations, complaints, and violations raised and submitted by applicants and educational field professionals earlier regarding the aforementioned examinations. The ministry emphasized that the decision is based on the committee’s findings, aiming to ensure the integrity of the procedures governing the exams and to verify that any administrative decisions resulting from them are derived from correct and sound foundations, thereby enhancing confidence in the selection system for supervisory positions and reinforcing the principle that educational responsibilities must be assigned based on objective criteria and disciplined procedures free from irregularities.
The ministry stressed that safeguarding the integrity of the exams and protecting applicants’ rights is a responsibility that allows no negligence, and that addressing observations and complaints from the educational field stems from a commitment to review procedures, verify their integrity, and take necessary corrective measures to preserve the credibility of administrative processes and strengthen confidence in the mechanisms for filling educational supervisory posts.
It added that the date, venue, duration of each exam, and the prescribed scientific content for the re-examinations will be determined at a later date, with official announcements to be made by the ministry and all applicants who attended the leadership training courses for the fourth stage to be informed of all details, ensuring procedural clarity for everyone and enabling them to prepare for the exams based on approved and published information.
Previously, the Education Minister directed the formation of a neutral committee comprising specialists from the Fatwa and Legislation Administration and the Ministry of Education to investigate the observations and violations that marred the fourth-stage process for candidates applying for educational supervisory positions at the Ministry of Education for the 2025–2026 academic year.
After completing its work, the committee submitted its final report to Minister Al-Tabatabai, including the findings of the examination and investigation regarding the observations and violations under review. Based on the report’s conclusions, the decision to annul all results of the fourth-stage examinations and re-administer them to all applicants was approved.
