The Coalition for Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen announced the execution of a distinctive military operation to neutralize vital sources supplying the war effort of the Houthi terrorist militia, emphasizing that it had taken all possible precautions to avoid causing incidental casualties or damage to civilians.
In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Coalition stated that the operation focused on neutralizing the Houthi militia’s capabilities used to threaten Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the southern Red Sea, and maritime chokepoints, reaffirming its strict adherence to international humanitarian law. It clarified that evidence had confirmed the Houthi militia’s use of civilian objects to fuel its war effort, specifically citing fuel tanks and docks for fuel transfer in the cities of Hodeidah, Sanaa, and Dhamar.
The Coalition added that the militia had also utilized the Al-Sabahah station in Sanaa and underground fuel depots to support its military operations. It stressed that the Houthis must immediately cease terrorist acts targeting civilians, civilian objects, airports, ports, and oil facilities.
Earlier, Coalition forces in Yemen had issued an evacuation order for the site of the Yemeni Oil Company in Sanaa to carry out the “distinctive operation,” while continuing to counter the Houthi militia’s malicious attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Coalition spokesperson Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki stated that the Joint Forces Command requested civilians to evacuate the Yemeni Oil Company site—specifically the Central Al-Sabahah Station in Sanaa, as indicated by the site’s illustrative map—for their safety. Al-Maliki accompanied his statement with a map detailing the location.
In separate statements, Al-Maliki announced the interception and destruction of three drones north of Riyadh, as well as the destruction of two ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi terrorist militia toward Khamis Mushait.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni Armed Forces announced the advancement of their offensive operations within the “Fajr al-Yemen” operation on the eastern and southern fronts, achieving ground progress under intense aerial support. They carried out 2,200 precise targeting operations conducted by the air force, unmanned aerial vehicles, field artillery, rocket launchers, and sniper units.
In a statement published on the Armed Forces’ media center account on the “X” platform, the official spokesperson said the strikes focused on dismantling the enemy’s defense system by targeting command and control centers, fortifications, firing positions, observation and reconnaissance points, assembly areas, reserve deployment zones, arms and ammunition depots, transport and supply lines, and high-value military targets in the depth.
In Taiz, concentrated strikes crushed militia columns and reinforcements, dispersed their mobilization, and disrupted their ability to support their positions and reorganize their forces. Preliminary field estimates indicated the neutralization of approximately 1,200 Houthi militia members and the destruction or damage of more than 440 military vehicles and equipment across various operational axes.
Concurrently, with the ongoing offensive, engineering units on the western front continued clearing reclaimed sites and areas of mines and explosives planted by the militia, securing roads and passages to protect civilians and facilitate their return, according to the statement.
