The Al-Manaber Al-Quraniya Association continues its efforts to support and sponsor Quran memorization circles within Kuwait and abroad, in line with its mission to serve the Book of Allah, teach the Holy Quran, disseminate its sciences, and nurture generations connected to the Quran through memorization, recitation, reflection, and practice, via educational and Quranic programs targeting various age groups.
The Association’s General Director, Dr. Mohammed Al-Amran, emphasized that sponsoring Quran memorization circles constitutes one of the Association’s core pillars, based on its conviction that investing in the teaching of the Book of Allah is an investment in building human beings and shaping generations imbued with faith-based and moral values, which contribute to the reform and progress of their societies.
Dr. Al-Amran clarified that the Association continues to sponsor eight Quran memorization circles in several mosques across Kuwait, where 159 students are enrolled, alongside remote memorization and education programs benefiting 87 students (45 boys and 42 girls). This provides broader opportunities to learn the Holy Quran and enhances the continuity of Quranic education through modern technological means.
In line with the Association’s commitment to encouraging Quran memorizers and developing their capabilities, Dr. Al-Amran announced that Al-Manaber Al-Quraniya is prepared to participate in the Kuwait Grand Quran Memorization and Recitation Competition. The Association is expected to field approximately 50 memorizers, both male and female. He stressed that this participation extends the Association’s efforts in nurturing Quranic talents, motivating students to master memorization and recitation, and fostering a commendable spirit of competition within the realm of the Holy Quran.
He added that the Association’s efforts extend beyond Kuwait, where it sponsors 40 Quran memorization circles in four countries, supporting 400 orphans who are Quran memorizers. These orphans are distributed across Chad, Somalia, Yemen, and Palestine, with 10 circles and 100 orphans in each country. This initiative reflects the Association’s focus on combining Quranic care with attention to the most vulnerable groups, providing orphans with the opportunity to connect with the Book of Allah.
Dr. Al-Amran noted that the Association does not view memorization circles merely as educational programs, but as nurturing environments that refine souls, instill values, and strengthen Islamic identity. He affirmed that sustaining these circles and caring for their students represents a great responsibility and a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and communities.
He stressed that supporting Quran memorization circles is in compliance with the Prophet’s saying: “The best among you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” He explained that contributing to Quranic education is among the doors of goodness, the benefits of which extend to the learner, his family, and his society, with the hope that the reward continues as long as the knowledge remains beneficial and is passed down through generations.
Dr. Al-Amran concluded his statement by praising the generosity of Kuwaitis and donors who continue to support Quranic projects. He affirmed that the achievements the Association has realized in this field are a result of divine grace and the generosity of supporters, and he called for continued backing of memorization circles and care for Quran memorizers, so that the beacons of the Quran remain vibrant and their contributions continue to produce generations who memorize the Book of Allah, act upon it, and serve as constructive pillars in their societies.
