The meeting hosted yesterday in the Iranian capital, Tehran, which brings together senior officials from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, comes amid ongoing efforts by the Mecca Agreement countries to de-escalate tensions among the parties to the crisis, encourage dialogue and diplomatic solutions, and support mediation efforts by Qatar and Pakistan. The meeting also discussed regional threat issues, including recent actions by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia. The key question is whether the Iranian regime will heed the voice of reason, commit to good neighborly relations with the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and halt its terrorist proxies in Yemen, Iraq, and Lebanon?
