Jordan’s King Abdullah II chaired a meeting of the National Security Council yesterday, during which he received a security briefing on the terrorist attack that targeted a church in the village of Hamoud in Karak Governorate the day before, killing eight citizens and injuring 40 others. The King, who was joined by Crown Prince Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II at the meeting, affirmed that the safety and security of Jordanians constitute a red line, stressing that the hand of justice will reach every terrorist, and that such cowardly acts will not and cannot intimidate Jordan or its people, nor will they undermine their national unity.
