Kuwait and Bahrain Discuss Revitalizing Bilateral Tourism and Developing Partnership

Bahraini Minister of Tourism Fatima Al-Sairafi praised the deep fraternal and historical ties linking the Kingdom of Bahrain with the State of Kuwait, emphasizing the commitment to continue developing tourism cooperation and strengthening bilateral partnership in a manner that serves the shared interests and aspirations of both countries.

The Kuwaiti Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain stated in a statement received by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this came during a meeting between Al-Sairafi and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Jasem Al-Najim, where both sides discussed ways to enhance tourism cooperation, exchange expertise and experiences.

The statement quoted Al-Najim praising the advanced level of Bahrain’s tourism sector and its attention to developing its foundations, stressing the importance of exchanging expertise and experiences to develop the sector, diversify tourism products, and promote the tourism assets of both countries. He added that enhancing cooperation in this field supports Kuwait and Bahrain’s efforts to develop the tourism sector and stimulate intra-regional tourism, thereby achieving shared interests.

The statement clarified that the meeting addressed opportunities to activate tourism cooperation and develop joint initiatives, alongside enhancing Gulf intra-regional tourism and supporting tourist movement between the two countries. Attending the meeting on behalf of the Kuwaiti Embassy were Counselor Abdulaziz Al-Falah and Second Secretary Lujain Abu Aliyan.
