Al-Samak season begins in Kuwait on Oct 29 with cooler nights

The Al-Ajiri Scientific Center announced that the “Al-Samak” star station, which is the second of the Al-Wasm season, begins on October 29, 2026, and lasts for 13 days, bringing a sense of cold during nighttime hours. In a press statement, the center clarified that this period is characterized by cool nights and humid winds at sunrise, along with longer nights and an earlier sunset. It noted that this period also sees the earliest time for Dhuhr (noon) prayer of the year. The center added that a key feature of this station is the noticeable chill in water, especially in the morning, while ancients used the increase in sheep births as an indicator of its arrival. It also highlighted an increased likelihood of rainfall during this period. The center urged the public to follow the timings and schedules via the Al-Ajiri app.
