The Peace Association for Humanitarian and Charitable Work has intensified its relief efforts to support affected families in the Gaza Strip through its “Iftim” project, aimed at providing food and drinking water, coinciding with its preparations to launch its annual winter campaign to assist needy families in several countries.

The association’s general manager, Hamad Al-Aoun, stated that the “Iftim” project launched on September 25 in response to the worsening humanitarian and living conditions in the Gaza Strip. He explained that the project comprises three main tracks: distributing food baskets, providing ready-to-eat meals through soup kitchens, and supplying drinking water using water tanks.

Al-Aoun added that the association’s field teams have distributed 4,000 food baskets, each valued at 25 Kuwaiti dinars, along with 10,000 ready-to-eat meals, each costing 1.25 Kuwaiti dinars, in addition to providing safe drinking water via water tanks. More than 70,000 people have benefited from the initiative’s projects.

He emphasized the association’s commitment to continuing the distribution of food baskets and meals, as well as providing water, to reach as many affected families as possible, stressing that food and drinking water represent an urgent humanitarian priority amid growing needs within the Gaza Strip.

Regarding preparations for the winter season, Al-Aoun clarified that the association is putting the final touches on the launch of its annual winter campaign at the end of October, which aims to support needy families in several countries by providing food supplies, winter essentials, and necessary heating equipment.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to donors and benefactors who continue to support the association’s projects and humanitarian initiatives, affirming that their contributions are a cornerstone for sustaining relief efforts and expanding the scope of beneficiaries.

Al-Aoun concluded by reaffirming the association’s dedication to continuing its relief and development projects, guided by the values of solidarity and compassion embodied in Kuwaiti charitable work, and committed to delivering aid to those in need and alleviating the suffering of affected populations in targeted areas.
