The Official Gazette, “Kuwait Today,” published the Ministry of Health’s Decision No. 347 of 2026, which adds a new clause to Article 3 of Ministerial Decision No. 339 of 2026 concerning the regulation of procedures for reporting patient cases and the coordination mechanism with relevant authorities.
The new decision stipulates the inclusion of the Ministry of Justice among the entities involved in coordination in cases requiring judicial or legal measures, or those related to notifications and judicial announcements, as well as establishing the status of patients admitted to treatment facilities by court order.
Coordination also covers forensic medical reports and cases nominated for positions within the judicial corps at the Ministry of Justice.
The decision takes effect from its issuance date on October 15, 2026.
