A motorcade carrying European diplomats was attacked yesterday by Zionist settlers during a visit to the occupied West Bank, in which 78-year-old Bernard Boudou, mayor of the French commune of Oulnois-Emery, was severely beaten. The incident follows the assault on Heidi Levine, a photojournalist for The Washington Post, which sparked widespread reactions after she was beaten while covering attacks targeting Palestinian farmers in the occupied West Bank. Settlers who wreak havoc in the occupied territories are protected by the occupation forces, and the US turns a blind eye to their transgressions because they are implementing a Zionist plan to fragment the prospective Palestinian state.
