US President Donald Trump said that the United States might have to target the “Mount Falak” facility linked to Iran’s nuclear program, emphasizing that Washington seeks to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. In an interview with Newsmax late the day before yesterday, Trump added that Iran’s nuclear facilities are buried under massive quantities of rock, noting that Washington is considering targeting Mount Falak, which houses an underground fortified complex near one of Iran’s main nuclear sites, and affirming that the United States could strike and destroy the site swiftly. Trump also ruled out the use of a nuclear weapon in the conflict, stating that the United States does not need one, and reiterated that he does not intend to deploy US ground forces to Iran.
