The Yemeni military operation “Fajr al-Yemen” entered its tenth day, amid the most intense clashes on fronts in Taiz Governorate (southwest), as well as in Marib and Al-Jawf. Airstrikes and ground attacks intensified, with government forces stating they aim to weaken the combat capabilities of Iran-backed Houthis and cut their supply lines. Meanwhile, human losses and displacement waves are rising, and pressure on hospitals, markets, and essential services is worsening.

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced the execution of 2,200 precise targeting operations over 24 hours, involving air force aircraft, drones, field artillery, rocket launchers, and sniper units. Initial field estimates indicate the neutralization of approximately 1,200 Houthi fighters and the destruction or damage of more than 440 military vehicles, trucks, and equipment across various combat axes.

Brigadier General Majid Al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the Armed Forces, stated that operations focused on command and control centers, fortifications, firing positions, observation and reconnaissance points, assembly areas, arms and ammunition depots, transport and supply logistics, and high-value military targets. He added that government forces continued to develop their offensive operations on the eastern and southern fronts, achieving field advances under intense fire support. Strikes in Taiz targeted Houthi fighter concentrations and reinforcements, aiming to disrupt their ability to support their positions and reorganize their ranks.

Field sources say the group suffers daily human losses, including killed, wounded, and captured fighters, among them field commanders. Estimates suggest the group has lost around 15,000 fighters between killed and wounded over ten days, while the group has not released a comprehensive tally of its losses.

In Taiz, clashes in recent hours concentrated on fronts south, east, and west of the city, with renewed fighting in Al-Aqrud. Military sources reported battles erupted in areas of Al-Sarari, Dhi Al-Barah, and Dhihiyah, following Houthi attempts to attack government positions. Sources said government forces forced Houthi fighters to retreat from the Al-Sarari area in Sabr Al-Mawadim District, while airstrikes targeted a gathering and headquarters of the group in Al-Hoban, east of the city.

On the western front, clashes continued around Jabal Han, Al-Sayahi, and Jabal Hadhran, within the scope of the Dhobab front overlooking the main road leading to the city. Fighting extended to the Shaqb and Al-Aqrud fronts southeast of Taiz, coinciding with intense combat in Al-Muhayila and Al-Aghabrah areas along the Waziea axis in the southwest of the governorate, and ongoing clashes on the Mudhariba front in the neighboring Lahij Governorate.
