The Ahmadi Governorate Security Directorate carried out a security and inspection campaign at the fish market in the Kot and Al-Lanajat complex, in cooperation with several relevant authorities, as part of ongoing efforts to crack down on violators, enhance compliance with laws, and protect public health. The campaign involved the General Directorate of Coast Guard, the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, the Public Authority for Manpower, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Public Authority for Environmental Affairs, and the Environmental Police.
The operation resulted in the seizure of 773 kilograms of spoiled fish, with the person responsible apprehended and a violation issued against him. Additionally, two individuals were detained for being intoxicated, and two others were arrested for violating residency laws due to the expiration of their residence permits.
The Ministry of Interior affirmed its commitment to continuing security campaigns in collaboration with relevant authorities, aiming to protect public health, apprehend violators, and strengthen adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
