Occupation expands 'Yellow Line' again.. Intensifies raids deep into Gaza

Israel has expanded the virtual “Yellow Line,” which demarcates areas it occupies from those controlled by Hamas, off the coasts of Gaza City and Deir al-Balah in the Gaza Strip, after its military machinery advanced into new areas. This comes amid intense airstrikes on buildings and homes in the interior of the strip for a second day, allegedly targeting weapons depots belonging to Hamas and Jihad.

Several military and engineering vehicles penetrated the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, amid artillery shelling and gunfire targeting the area around the neighborhood’s intersection. This resulted in injuries among displaced persons living in tents in the area, prompting dozens of families to flee later after they observed the advance of the military vehicles.

Residents returned in an attempt to retrieve their belongings from their tents, only to find that the yellow cubes marking the advance of the “Yellow Line” had been moved to the intersection itself, specifically on the main Salah al-Din Street. This development forced them to dismantle their tents and relocate them to other areas.

For residents, the relocation of the yellow cubes signals that the Israeli army and armed militias will advance into the area, carrying out military operations, kidnappings, and arrests, accompanied by killings of civilians as seen in recent months, alongside the use of old military vehicles rigged with tons of explosives to detonate them in the area.
