Tasheel sponsors 2026 World Day for Senior Citizens celebration

Kuwait officials, including Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila, sponsored the annual celebration of the 2026 International Day of Older Persons, under the theme “Our Elders: Partners in the Digital Future.” The event was organized by the Elderly Care Department within the Social Care and Development Sector at the Sheikha Salwa Al-Sabah Hall in Salmiya. Al-Tasheelat’s sponsorship of the ceremony aligns with its corporate social responsibility programs and its partnerships with state institutions.

During the event, Minister Al-Huwaila announced the launch of the “Charter of Loyalty to Older Persons,” a national and community framework that unites institutions and individuals around principles that safeguard the rights of older persons, preserve their status, and improve their quality of life.

Khaled Al-Ali, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Al-Tasheelat Commercial Facilities Company, stated: “Older persons are the ones who deserve credit for what we enjoy today; they are the builders, teachers, and caregivers. It is their right that they find their place in a rapidly changing world. We chose to support this occasion to affirm that giving does not stop at a certain age, and that the experience and wisdom of our elders are a true asset for any society looking toward the future. We believe that technology should serve as a bridge connecting them to services and society, not a barrier separating them from it. Therefore, at Al-Tasheelat, we ensure that our services are easy, clear, and comfortable for all customer segments, particularly older persons and retirees. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Elderly Care Department for their efforts, and we wish our elders continued health and well-being.”

For his part, Tharwat Adly, Director of Marketing at Al-Tasheelat Commercial Facilities Company, said: “Our participation in this celebration reflects our belief that partnership between the public and private sectors is the best way to translate national initiatives into tangible impacts on people’s lives. We are pleased to see the Ministry of Social Affairs launch the Charter of Loyalty to Older Persons, as it is an important step that reinforces respect for them and enhances their presence in society. We are keen to be a supporting partner for such initiatives. In this context, we reaffirm the continuation of our campaign ‘Al-Tasheelat Always with Retirees,’ launched to honor this cherished group, by providing financing that meets their diverse needs through special and exclusive offers. We continue to develop the campaign to align with their aspirations and facilitate their access to our services. Adly praised the efforts of the state, represented by the Ministry of Social Affairs, in improving the lives of older persons and addressing their issues with great care.

Al-Tasheelat, through its campaign ‘Al-Tasheelat Always with Retirees,’ reaffirms its commitment to retirees and older persons by offering financing tailored to their needs and exclusive promotions that reflect its appreciation for their enduring contributions.

On the sidelines of the celebration, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila honored Al-Tasheelat Commercial Facilities Company, presenting a commemorative plaque in recognition of its participation and support. The plaque was received by the company’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Khaled Al-Ali.

There was widespread appreciation for the company’s active role in community partnership and social service, its extensive record of charitable, cultural, and community initiatives, and its significant contribution to enhancing economic activity in the State of Kuwait.
