Engineer Badr Hamad Al-Mubarak, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Association for Needy Families, has joined the international scientific advisory board of Dihad (DISAB), a move that strengthens the participation of Kuwaiti expertise in international humanitarian forums and supports the exchange of knowledge and the development of sustainable development initiatives. The board comprises a distinguished group of international experts and contributes to shaping the intellectual and strategic directions of the Dubai International Relief and Development Conference and Exhibition (Dihad), while also supporting Dihad Organization’s sustainable initiatives, thereby enhancing cooperation and knowledge exchange among institutions working in the humanitarian and development sectors. The Dihad Conference and Exhibition is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, and serves as an international platform for dialogue, partnership building, and exploring sustainable solutions to humanitarian and development challenges. Al-Mubarak stated that his membership in the board represents a significant responsibility and an opportunity to enhance international cooperation and showcase Kuwait’s humanitarian work on a global stage, thereby supporting the most vulnerable groups and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. For his part, Ambassador Professor Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Madani, President of Dihad Organization and Chairman of the International Scientific Advisory Board, affirmed that Al-Mubarak’s expertise and knowledge constitute a valuable addition to the board, expressing his anticipation of benefiting from his contributions to furthering the organization’s humanitarian and development mission. This membership aligns with Al-Mubarak’s extensive experience in humanitarian, charitable, and volunteer work, offering opportunities to exchange experiences and institutional practices, develop initiatives supporting empowerment and capacity building, and enhance the sustainable impact of humanitarian efforts. The board’s directions are consistent with “Dihad Agenda 2044,” which aims to develop humanitarian work and transition from crisis response to building more resilient and self-reliant communities, through five key pillars: sustainability, global partnerships, empowerment, education and capacity building, and innovation for humanity. This membership will expand opportunities for Kuwaiti expertise to participate in international humanitarian dialogue, strengthen knowledge exchange, and develop development partnerships that support the most vulnerable groups.
