Foreign Ministry: Kuwait condemns attacks on Riyadh and Dammam airports, reaffirms solidarity with Saudi Arabia

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and outrage over the continued attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the latest of which targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.
The ministry stated that the attack on King Khalid International Airport resulted in the death of one resident and injuries to others, as well as material damage, describing these attacks as a violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a breach of international law and international humanitarian law.
It emphasized that targeting civilian airports and vital infrastructure constitutes a serious escalation and a direct threat to civilian lives and the safety of air navigation, stressing the need for a firm international stance to halt these attacks and hold those responsible accountable.
The ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its steadfast support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security and stability and safeguard its sovereignty, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Kuwait’s security and that of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
It also expressed Kuwait’s sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of the deceased, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
