Trump: Houthi Attack on Riyadh Airport 'Unacceptable'

U.S. President Donald Trump condemned the Houthi attack on Riyadh airport, which killed 12 people and injured 309 others, calling it “unacceptable.” Trump told reporters that he would speak with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman following the attack by Iran-backed Houthi militias, adding, “What happened in Saudi Arabia is unacceptable.”
For his part, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed his country’s strong condemnation of the recent terrorist attacks by the Houthi group on Saudi Arabia, including the targeting of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Rubio emphasized on his official X (formerly Twitter) account that “these despicable attacks show a blatant disregard for the lives of innocent civilians and must stop immediately,” reaffirming the United States’ steadfast support for Saudi Arabia and its people.
