Khaled Mubarak Al-Shammari, Head of the Programs and Initiatives Sector at Namaa Charity under the Al-Islah Social Association, confirmed that Namaa Charity continues to implement its humanitarian and development projects in India through a package of initiatives targeting beneficiaries’ basic needs, integrating healthcare, economic empowerment, social support, and water provision. He noted that the projects included performing 100 cataract surgeries, providing 10 sewing machines as part of Halal livelihood projects, assisting 24 needy families, and drilling four semi-artesian wells.
Al-Shammari stated, “At Namaa Charity, we strive for our projects to have an impact that goes beyond immediate aid. Hence, the eye surgeries restored hope and light to the lives of 100 beneficiaries suffering from cataracts. Regaining the ability to see not only improves human health but also grants individuals the opportunity to resume their activities and conduct their lives and work more effectively, while also alleviating the burdens that families may bear.”
He added, “On the other hand, Halal livelihood projects represent one of the key forms of empowerment we advocate. We provided 10 sewing machines to beneficiaries, enabling them to transform their skills into a productive and sustainable source of income, helping them support their families with dignity and achieve self-reliance. We also made it a priority to assist 24 needy families, believing that genuine charitable work reaches needy families, stands by them in facing life’s burdens, preserves their dignity, and provides them with the foundations for stability.”
Al-Shammari pointed out that water projects represent a humanitarian and developmental priority, explaining that drilling four semi-artesian wells contributes to providing a fundamental source of life, alleviates the hardship residents face in accessing water, and enhances the stability and living conditions of beneficiary communities. He affirmed that these projects reflect Namaa Charity’s vision of creating sustainable impact, saying, “We always aspire for the donations of well-wishers to reach their rightful recipients through projects that make a real difference in their lives, whether by restoring sight, providing a source of income, supporting a needy family, or supplying water. This is the message we work toward at Namaa Charity.”
