Preparations Underway to Resume Large-Scale Combat Operations Against Iran

The American Axios website reported yesterday that U.S. officials said the Pentagon has issued directives to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) to complete preparations for resuming large-scale combat operations against Iran, as U.S. President Donald Trump considers the timing of a potential military strike, amid stalled negotiations between Washington and Tehran. The war will not end unless an agreement is reached that ensures Iran does not possess nuclear weapons, thereby reducing the level of uranium enrichment. As for the Strait of Hormuz, the United States and Iran remain at odds over it, turning it into a major flashpoint, and navigation through the strait will not be subject to posturing.
