"Dawn of Yemen": Government Forces Declare Control Over Kahbob Mountains

Yemeni government forces, supported by “National Shield” formations and the Giants Brigades, continued their military operations for the fourth day as part of the “Yemen Dawn” operation, coinciding with intensified air strikes and ongoing clashes on several fronts. At the same time, the forces announced that they had consolidated control over the strategic Kebob mountain range overlooking the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
The forces stated that securing the Kebob mountains, in coordination with the Giants Brigades, aims to enhance security in the area surrounding the international shipping lane and to cut off Houthi movements and supply lines. They noted that these developments follow the recapture of areas in the Dibab district and the vicinity of Al-Mukha port and its airport.
According to released military data, the forces carried out 2,103 precise targeting operations during the campaign, hitting Houthi concentrations, command centers, and weapons depots on the coastal, Marib, Al-Jawf, and Taiz fronts. The data indicated that more than 1,860 fighters were killed or neutralized, approximately 364 military vehicles and artillery positions were destroyed, and several drones were shot down.
In Taiz Governorate, clashes concentrated on the Al-Aqrud, Jabal Habashi, and Hifan fronts, amid government force movements aimed, according to military data, at preventing attempts to impose a siege on the governorate and securing vital roads linking Taiz and Aden.
Meanwhile, the Marib and Al-Jawf fronts witnessed military movements and artillery and aerial bombardment targeting Houthi positions and fortifications, with advances recorded in the southern sector of Marib, particularly in the Al-Bur area toward the Um Rish camp, alongside strikes on sites in the Hilan and Ragwan mountains.
In response, the Houthi group continued launching ballistic missiles and drones toward military concentrations and sites in the southern Bab al-Mandab and western coastal areas. Incoming information indicated that Aden Airport was targeted by two ballistic missiles.
Politically, Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, affirmed the continuation of the “Yemen Dawn” operation, stressing that operations would persist until state institutions are restored and control over the capital, Sanaa, is reestablished, amid the expanding scope of clashes and the multiplicity of combat axes.
