- Aisha Al-Saffi: The association seeks to update its programs, improve its tools, and expand the circle of beneficiaries of its services.
Deputy Undersecretary for the Social Care and Development Sector and Acting Director General of Social Development, Iman Saleh Al-Anzi, affirmed that true development begins with human beings, by developing their capabilities and empowering them to participate actively in their communities. Women are a fundamental partner in creating impact, and the exemplary models we see today are the fruit of conscious female energies that deserve support and appreciation, as well as the opening of more spaces for them to contribute and serve society.
During the ceremony honoring women who had been granted ijazah (certification) in Quranic recitation styles, Al-Anzi added, “It is an honor for me to meet you at this blessed Quranic gathering, where we celebrate a group of women whom Allah has honored with carrying His Book, and who have completed a journey of dedication and perseverance, until they attained the honor of memorizing the entire Book of Allah, and advanced in the ranks of recitation and transmission (isnad).” She emphasized that this occasion aligns with what we believe in at the Ministry of Social Affairs, represented by the Social Care and Development Sector.
Al-Anzi commended the Quranic associations for their distinctive programs and initiatives, and for providing educational and learning environments that are motivating, contributing to building individuals through the Quran and creating an impact that extends from the individual to the family and society.
She concluded by expressing great pride in the efforts of Tartil Association for the Holy Quran and its Sciences in serving the Book of Allah and its people, elevating Quranic standards, encouraging excellence, and opening broad horizons for women to continue their contributions in the field of the Holy Quran and its sciences. She congratulated the women who had been granted ijazah in Quranic recitation styles, those who had completed memorization of the Book of Allah, their families, their teachers, and all who had supported and assisted them on this blessed journey.
For her part, Sheikh Aisha Al-Saffi, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Tartil Association, said, “We celebrate a group of our students who have been granted ijazah in Quranic recitation styles, those who have completed memorization of the Book of Allah, and those whom Allah has honored with obtaining the chain of transmission (isnad). We feel the immense blessing that Allah has bestowed upon us, and we thank Him for allowing Tartil Association for the Holy Quran and its Sciences to play a part in serving His Book and its people. She added, “This ceremony is not merely a celebration of individual achievements, but rather a celebration of a journey we believe in, a mission that renews itself, an trust we carry, and a path we strive to walk with steadfastness and excellence.”
Al-Saffi emphasized that since the association’s establishment, we have been working to ensure that serving the Holy Quran keeps pace with the needs of this era, drawing inspiration from the Book of Allah for steadfastness in methodology, from our reality for the speed of development, and from our aspirations for the constant pursuit of the best.
She continued, “We seek to update our programs, improve our tools, and expand the circle of beneficiaries of our services, and to benefit from modern technologies in education, follow-up, and evaluation. We believe that when development is harnessed to serve the Quran, it becomes a means of building this pioneering country.”
She confirmed that the association has taken steps in the field of digital transformation, and among the fruits of this effort is its readiness to launch its electronic platform, which is part of the projects included in its five-year strategic plan. This platform will serve as a modern space that keeps pace with the needs of students and teachers, brings knowledge closer, facilitates access to the association’s programs, and opens wider horizons for learning and follow-up. She added that we rely on a vision that goes beyond memorizing the Quran to building individuals through the Quran; and to make our programs a comprehensive educational environment that combines memorization and mastery, recitation and reflection, knowledge and action, and between building the student, qualifying the teacher, and creating impact.
She stressed that true development does not rely solely on individual efforts. We are proud of our partnerships, foremost among which are the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, civil society, our colleagues from associations and endowments, everyone who believed in the association’s mission and supported its programs, and every teacher, student, family, and supporter who contributed to this journey.
Al-Saffi concluded her speech by saying, “Today, we see before us these shining models, and we celebrate those whom Allah has honored with recitation and selection, for the 2024 and 2025 cohorts of women who obtained Quranic certification in various recitation styles and those who completed memorization of the Book of Allah, totaling 75 students.”
