Electricity Ministry Conducts Routine Maintenance on Transformation Stations in 19 Areas

The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy continues to implement its routine maintenance program for secondary substations in several areas, as part of its efforts to enhance the efficiency of the electrical grid and strengthen the stability and continuity of power supply. The ministry clarified that the maintenance work scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, may require temporary power outages, starting at 8:00 a.m. and lasting up to four hours, according to the specific schedule for each substation. It noted that the duration of the outages may be extended or reduced depending on working conditions and necessary technical procedures at the sites, emphasizing that maintenance teams are working to complete the tasks and restore power as quickly as possible. The maintenance works cover several areas and residential plots, including Al-Salibiya residential area in Plots 5 and 10, Mishref Plot 1, Al-Funaitis district Plot 7, Al-Masail Plot 1, Al-Salmiya Plot 3, and Bayan in Plots 3 and 5. These works are part of the ministry’s periodic program aimed at maintaining the readiness of electrical grid components and enhancing their operational efficiency.
