Kuwait Credit Bank completed its electronic linkage project with local banks, following the signing of a cooperation protocol with Kuwait International Bank (KIB), enabling the direct transfer of payments, mortgages, and social loans to citizens’ accounts without the need to visit banks to collect checks.
In a media statement, Al-Dabous said the agreement extends the bank’s efforts to expand its electronic linkage network and complete digital banking coverage, thereby providing faster, more flexible, and more reliable services to citizens.
He clarified that the linkage with KIB marks the final stage of the project to connect with local banks, raising the number of banks electronically linked with Kuwait Credit Bank to nine: National Bank, Kuwait Finance House, Gulf Bank, Boubyan Bank, Burkan Bank, Warba Bank, Kuwait National Bank, Commercial Bank, and Kuwait International Bank.
He noted that the project supports the state’s direction toward digital transformation and the development of electronic services, through real-time data synchronization, saving time and effort, enhancing security levels, reducing check-related risks, and promoting transparency and accuracy in tracking transactions, as well as lowering operational and administrative costs.
Al-Dabous emphasized that electronic linkage enables the direct deposit of entitlements into citizens’ accounts, contributing to faster procedures and an improved experience for beneficiaries, while keeping pace with the regulatory and security standards applied in the banking sector.
The agreement was signed at Kuwait Credit Bank’s headquarters in South Surra, attended by Fahd Othman Al-Badr, General Manager of Operations at Kuwait International Bank, and several senior executives from both banks.
