Interior Ministry "Red-eyes" Delivery Companies

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, yesterday honored officers from the General Directorate of Traffic, in recognition of their dedication, loyalty, and commitment to enforcing the law and enhancing road safety. He emphasized that professionalism and discipline in fulfilling duties embody the core values that the security institution strives to instill in its personnel.

On another note, the Ministry of Interior stressed the responsibility of delivery companies to educate their drivers about traffic violations and ensure their compliance with traffic regulations, in order to safeguard their safety and that of other road users, thereby protecting lives and property. It noted that traffic violations committed by some delivery drivers have been documented, and that the law will be applied against offenders, including the impoundment of their motorcycles or vehicles for a period of two months.
