The Public Authority for Combating Corruption, “Nazaha,” launched a field training program for law students at Kuwait University for the fourth consecutive year, as part of the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, running until December next year. The program aims to enhance students’ legal knowledge and bridge academic study with practical applications through specialized lectures delivered by experts from various organizational units within the Authority, covering Nazaha’s mandate and its operational mechanisms for preventing and combating corruption. The program includes an introduction to the United Nations Convention against Corruption and the mechanism for monitoring its implementation, alongside an overview of corruption offenses, investigation methods, evidence collection, and related legal procedures, as well as the conditions for submitting reports, mechanisms for drafting memoranda, and tracking corruption crimes. It also covers the whistleblower protection system, the financial disclosure system, the law on the right to access information, and topics such as strategic planning, the professional code of conduct, and corporate governance. Nazaha emphasized that the program aligns with its efforts to strengthen legal and preventive awareness among youth and to provide students with a practical opportunity to familiarize themselves with the legal and institutional frameworks related to anti-corruption efforts.
