Kuwait’s Minister of Education, Sayyid Jalal Al-Tabatabai, affirmed that the high patronage of the 46th Educational Conference of the Kuwait Teachers Association reflects the importance accorded to the education sector as a fundamental pillar in building human capital, developing capabilities, and enhancing its role in the country’s development process.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, which is held under the theme “Innovative Visions for a Sustainable Educational Future in Kuwait” and runs until October 6, Al-Tabatabai noted that education is undergoing rapid transformations in learning tools, teachers’ roles, and students’ needs. He pointed out that artificial intelligence and digital transformation have become integral parts of the educational reality.

He clarified that technological advancement, regardless of its scale, remains a means to serve the educational process rather than an end in itself, emphasizing the importance of leveraging it to enhance educational quality and develop students’ capabilities while preserving national identity.

Al-Tabatabai added that the Ministry of Education views the conference as a platform for exchanging expertise and formulating practical, actionable, and measurable recommendations. He noted that its themes intersect with several projects and plans undertaken by the ministry to develop the education system, improve its efficiency, and ensure its sustainability.

For his part, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Council, Jassem Al-Budaiwi, affirmed that education represents one of the most important pillars in building human capital and a key driver of sustainable development. He highlighted the continuous attention and investment in future generations within the public education systems of GCC member states.

On his part, Hamad Al-Houli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Teachers Association, stated that the conference focuses on developing the education system and enhancing the status and role of teachers in building human capital. He noted that the event’s activities include 24 sessions and workshops featuring a select group of specialists, academics, and educators from Kuwait and abroad.

Al-Houli explained that the expected attendance at the conference will be no less than 3,000 participants. The activities address preparing teachers for the demands of modern education, developing their professional and leadership competencies, and highlighting the role of educational leaders in improving educational quality and managing change and development processes within educational institutions.

The Kuwait Teachers Association Educational Conference is considered a specialized event that discusses education issues and development challenges, striving through its sessions and workshops to present visions and recommendations supporting the development process and achieving a sustainable educational future in Kuwait.
