The initiative is part of scientific and knowledge-based competitions aimed at developing students’ capabilities, discovering their talents, and fostering a spirit of competition and creativity, continuing the program’s legacy since its inception in 1975.
Maryam Al-Anzi, Director General of the General Administration of Supporting Educational Services at the Ministry of Education, told KUNA in a statement following the press conference announcing the program that the new edition is part of the ministry’s efforts to diversify extracurricular student activities and programs accompanying the educational process, and to provide a competitive environment that allows students to showcase their skills and abilities. She added that the competitions seek to discover and nurture student talents and energies, while reinforcing values of positive competition and teamwork, and encouraging students to develop their skills and apply their abilities in various fields.
Al-Anzi praised the partnership with the Ministry of Information for the program’s success in highlighting student participation and achievements. She also commended the patronage and support of His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Award, Kuwait Finance House (Bayt Al-Tamwil Al-Kuwaiti “BTK”), Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, American University of the Middle East, “FO” Production Company, and other supporting entities.
For his part, Badr Al-Duai, Director General of Television at the Ministry of Information, told KUNA that the “With Students” program enjoys high patronage from His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, which reinforces its mission of encouraging students to participate in scientific and knowledge-based competitions.
Al-Duai noted that the program is one of the oldest educational television programs in Kuwait, linked to the memories of successive generations of students and viewers. He pointed out that its continuity over these decades reflects the role of media in supporting the educational process and highlighting student talents and energies. He clarified that the new edition will leverage modern media and technical capabilities to keep pace with developments in television production, while preserving the identity that has distinguished the program since its launch, thereby enhancing student and viewer interaction and delivering engaging educational and knowledge-based content.
