The Kuwait Municipality confirmed today, Monday, that it is continuing to activate its supervisory roles in removing encroachments on state-owned land in the Farwaniya Governorate, as part of its campaign “Kuwait is More Beautiful Without Encroachments.”

Mohammed Al-Jalawi, a member of the central team at the Municipality Director General’s Office, stated in a press comment on the sidelines of an inspection tour in the Sabah Al-Nasser area that the Municipality’s message is clear: the campaign to remove all old and new encroachments will continue.

Al-Jalawi added that field teams conduct periodic monitoring campaigns for any violations involving state properties across all governorates, aiming to curb unsightly scenes and the accumulation of waste in residential areas. He emphasized that the Municipality’s primary objective is to safeguard the public safety of residents in these areas, noting that field teams operate according to carefully planned strategies designed for implementation across all governorates.

He reported that supervisory teams identified and removed today, in the Sabah Al-Nasser residential area, a structure erected on main streets in one of the squares without a permit and without adhering to the setbacks designated by the Municipality.

He clarified that the removed structure extended 25 meters beyond the property boundaries, representing one of the models being monitored by our teams.

Al-Jalawi praised the significant role played by government entities participating in the campaign since its inception, including the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the Ministry of Interior, and the Public Authority for Environmental Affairs.

He stated that the Municipality encourages citizens and residents to follow its official accounts to benefit from awareness messages and guidelines published regularly, and to communicate with the Municipality to inquire about any regulatory requirements, thereby facilitating their procedures and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
