Al-Manaber Al-Quraniya conducts 125 eye surgeries for needy patients in Somalia

The Al-Manaber Al-Quraniya Association carried out an ophthalmological medical caravan in Somalia as part of the “Help Me See” project, benefiting 125 patients, in line with the association’s humanitarian efforts to alleviate patients’ suffering and create a direct impact on their lives.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Amran, the General Director of Al-Manaber Al-Quraniya Association, said, “The ‘Help Me See’ project carries a significant humanitarian message; restoring sight is not merely about treating a patient, but about reclaiming a vital aspect of their life, including their ability to learn, work, become self-reliant, and share in their family’s daily experiences.”

He added, “We are pleased that this caravan reached 125 patients in Somalia, and that the generosity of benefactors translates into a tangible impact on one of humanity’s greatest blessings. When a person regains their sight, it is not only their perception of the world around them that changes, but many opportunities in life may also open up before them.”

He noted that the project embodies the value of social solidarity and highlights the impact of Kuwaiti charitable work in addressing urgent humanitarian needs, emphasizing that the achievements of such projects are the fruit of donors’ generosity, as well as their continuous trust and support.

Dr. Al-Amran concluded his statement by saying, “We extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to the ‘Help Me See’ project, and to all those who played a role in ensuring this goodwill reached its rightful beneficiaries.”
