Kuwait's handball team loses to Japan at the 2026 Asian Games

Kuwait’s handball team suffered a defeat today, Saturday, against Japan with a score of 32-37 in the quarter-finals of the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026), held in Japan. The home side, Japan, managed to build a goal advantage in the first half, which ended 23-12 in their favor. Although Kuwait’s “Blue Hands” showed improvement in the second half, the goal difference proved decisive, allowing Japan to secure the victory. With this result, Kuwait finished third in Group B with four points from two wins and two losses before reaching the quarter-finals. They had previously defeated Iran 26-24, lost to South Korea 23-26, beat Kazakhstan 43-19, and then fell to Bahrain 25-28.
