Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan affirmed Kuwait’s welcome and full support for the Global Sustainable Transport Development Initiative, praising its focus on enhancing infrastructure connectivity, developing resilient supply chains, and encouraging sustainable investment, technological innovation, and capacity building.
This came during Dr. Al-Mashaan’s participation in the Ministers’ Forum held today, Wednesday, in the Chinese capital, Beijing, as part of the 2026 Global Sustainable Transport Forum, which is held under the theme “Implementing the Global Development Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative to Deepen Cooperation in Sustainable Transport.”
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Dr. Al-Mashaan emphasized Kuwait’s firm commitment to joint work with its regional and international partners toward establishing interconnected, resilient, environmentally friendly, and inclusive transport systems. She also noted that such international forums and conferences represent a vital platform for exchanging successful experiences and expertise, and for translating shared development goals into practical reality and fruitful cooperation.
