Applied Sciences Students Delegation Concludes Educational Trip to China to Enhance Expertise in Technology and Innovation

A delegation of students from the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training concluded its educational visit to China, which included the cities of Shenzhen and Shanghai, with the aim of observing advanced models in applied and technical education and enhancing their expertise in technology and innovation.

In a press statement on Tuesday, the Authority said the delegation comprised eight students accompanied by two faculty members. The program included visits to Shenzhen Polytechnic and Shanghai University of Engineering Science, where the students learned about their academic and practical experiences. The visit also featured tours of laboratories and technical facilities, as well as exposure to the latest technologies and applications in education, training, scientific research, and innovation.

The Authority added that the program included a number of meetings and scientific tours that enabled the students to interact directly with the Chinese academic environment and to learn about China’s experience in leveraging applied and technical education to meet industry and labor market needs. It also provided insights into aspects of Chinese culture and society, contributing to broadening their horizons and developing their scientific and personal competencies.

The Authority clarified that this trip aligns with its strategy to strengthen international cooperation and enrich students’ educational experiences by providing direct exposure to advanced global practices and benefiting from modern approaches in applied and technical education, thereby supporting the preparation of qualified national cadres equipped with relevant knowledge.
