Foreign Minister attends 21st ministerial working dinner on the Middle East in New York

Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jeraf Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah participated in the 21st Ministerial Working Dinner on the Middle East, held at the International Peace Institute headquarters in New York City, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The working dinner was held last Sunday evening, by joint invitation from Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar; Prince Zeid bin Raad Al Hussein, President of the International Peace Institute; and Kaja Kallas, the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.

During the dinner, participants discussed the overall issues and challenges facing the Middle East region, and exchanged views on key regional developments and related international moves.

The discussions also addressed ways to support diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation, enhancing security and stability, and advancing initiatives toward achieving peace in the region.

This ministerial meeting provides a framework for exchanging views on the rapidly evolving developments in the region and exploring related diplomatic pathways amid ongoing regional and international challenges.
