Al-Faleh: Strengthening corporate social responsibility is a cornerstone for protecting the environment and natural resources

State Minister for Development and Sustainability Affairs, Dr. Reem Al-Faleh, emphasized the importance of strengthening corporate social responsibility and embedding sustainable practices to protect the environment and natural resources. She stressed that environmental protection is a shared responsibility requiring the coordinated efforts of various government entities, civil society organizations, the private sector, and volunteers.

In a press statement marking World Cleanup Day, which falls on Sunday, Al-Faleh stated that the occasion represents an opportunity to raise environmental awareness and encourage community participation, thereby supporting national efforts to achieve a more sustainable environment.

She underscored the importance of translating environmental awareness into sustainable community behaviors and practices, noting that active participation from all segments of society contributes to supporting efforts to preserve the environment and curb practices that impact natural resources.

Al-Faleh commended the efforts of the entities, initiatives, and volunteer teams participating in World Cleanup Day activities in Kuwait, considering this participation a reflection of a spirit of social responsibility and positive initiative in serving the community and protecting the environment.

World Cleanup Day is observed annually on September 20, with the aim of unifying global and local efforts to protect the environment, raising awareness of environmental challenges—particularly waste and food waste—and supporting efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
