"Al-Najah" Brigade Conducted Five Training Workshops in the First Half of 2026
Jaza’ Al-Suwailah, Director of the Office of Quran and Prophetic Sunnah Affairs at Al-Najaa Charity Association, affirmed that the “Wartel” administration continues its efforts to develop and qualify Quran teachers, considering them the fundamental pillar for the success of Quranic circles and the achievement of their educational and pedagogical mission. He noted that investing in the teacher is an investment in the generations learning the Book of Allah Almighty.
Al-Suwailah stated that the semi-annual report of the “Wartel” administration for the first half of the current year, 2026, reflects the administration’s commitment to the continuous development of educational staff. The administration implemented a number of internal workshops for Quran teachers in morning and evening circles, delivered by a select group of “Wartel” reciters, covering various scientific, pedagogical, and skill-based aspects.
He explained that among the most prominent of these workshops was “How to Manage a Quran Circle,” which addressed the circle’s mission and objectives, planning methods, the role of the exemplary teacher, as well as skills for effectively managing the circle and organizing time, thereby helping to provide a more disciplined and motivating learning environment for students.
He added that “Wartel” also offered a specialized workshop on the text “Tuhfat al-Athfal” (The Children’s Delight), which included explaining the poetic text in a simple and simplified manner, designing appropriate lessons for its explanation, correcting students’ recitation, as well as qualifying and certifying teachers in the “Tuhfat al-Athfal” text.
Al-Suwailah indicated that the training programs also included a workshop on the text “Al-Shatibiyya,” during which concepts were explained in a simplified scientific and pedagogical style, with a focus on correcting students’ recitation, designing lessons for explaining the text, and certifying teachers in the “Al-Shatibiyya” text.
He clarified that the “Manhaj Nour al-Bayan” (The Path of Clear Explanation) workshop focused on the introduction to the curriculum and teaching skills, how to use the accompanying educational materials, the fundamentals of teaching reading, methods for treating common errors, and follow-up mechanisms, in addition to conducting trial lessons to help teachers apply the skills they acquired in a practical manner.
He noted that the pedagogical aspect received special attention through the workshop “How to Deal with Students’ Personality Types,” which addressed how to identify a student’s type, the correct way to deal with each type, and enhancing effective communication with students and parents, along with practical applications that help the teacher understand and interact with students more effectively.
Al-Suwailah affirmed that the diversity of these workshops reflects “Wartel’s” dedication to combining scientific qualification, teaching skills, and pedagogical aspects in preparing Quran teachers. He pointed out that the teacher’s role extends beyond teaching memorization and recitation to instilling values, building character, and creating role models.
He emphasized the continuation of “Wartel’s” efforts to develop its training programs to serve Quran teachers and elevate the level of Quranic circles, affirming that serving the Book of Allah Almighty is an honor and a responsibility, and that qualifying those responsible for teaching the Quran is one of the most important pathways for elevating Quranic work and achieving its impact in society.
