Kuwait Airways and Emirates signed a memorandum of understanding to expand the existing partnership between the two carriers, paving the way for a codeshare agreement that will offer broader travel options and strengthen the connectivity of both airlines’ networks. The memorandum was signed on the sidelines of Kuwait Airways’ participation in the Arabian Travel Market 2026 in Dubai, within the Kuwait Pavilion under the “Visit Kuwait” tourism brand.

The Acting Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Airways, Captain Abdulwahab Al-Shatti, stated that the agreement aligns with the airline’s strategy to expand its strategic partnerships with global carriers, thereby providing more flexible travel options for its customers. He explained that the new arrangements will enable Kuwait Airways customers to access a wider range of destinations within Emirates’ network via its hub in Dubai, with the ability to book multi-segment journeys on a single ticket and check baggage through to the final destination.

Conversely, Emirates customers will be able to benefit from Kuwait Airways’ network of destinations and services, enhancing air connectivity between Kuwait and various destinations served by both carriers.

For his part, Adnan Kazim, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates, said that developing the partnership will contribute to the integration of the two carriers’ networks, open new routes for travelers, and provide a more seamless travel experience across Kuwait and Dubai.

According to the statement, the two carriers had previously expanded their commercial cooperation, enabling Kuwait Airways customers to access 19 international destinations through Emirates’ network, including markets in Australia, China, Japan, the United States, and South Africa. Meanwhile, Emirates customers have been able to benefit from eight destinations within Kuwait Airways’ network.
