In a press statement on Monday, Al-Shalhoub said that the enactment of the law was a long-awaited key demand from aero sports practitioners, enthusiasts, and club members. He commended the law’s comprehensive legislative framework, which specifies the conditions for registration, licensing, authorization, operation, obligations, prohibitions, and penalties for violations.
He highlighted the government’s support for aero sports and the attention paid by the Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, to youth development, capacity building, and fostering their hobbies in aviation fields. He emphasized that regulating these sports contributes to providing a safe environment for their practice while simultaneously ensuring the safety of air navigation, security aspects, and public order.
Al-Shalhoub expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Ministries of Interior and Defense, and relevant government entities in regulating aviation activities, reaffirming the club’s and its members’ commitment to all conditions, controls, and executive regulations governing these sports.
