The Islamic World Relief Organization continues its community efforts within the State of Kuwait by implementing a project to provide complete school bags and winter clothing for approximately 500 male and female students from low-income families in primary, intermediate, and secondary stages, in collaboration with the “Bus of Goodness” volunteer team affiliated with the organization, and with the participation of a group of medical students from the University of Kuwait.

Khaled Al-Sharaf, Acting Director of the Volunteer Work Department at the organization, stated that the project stems from a vision that goes beyond providing school supplies to contributing to the creation of a more stable educational environment for students and alleviating the financial burdens borne by their families with the start of the academic year.

Al-Sharaf clarified that the distribution process spans four days, from Thursday to Sunday, covering areas in the Al-Ahmadi, Hawalli, Farwaniya, and Jahra governorates. Volunteers are responsible for delivering the aid directly to beneficiaries’ homes to preserve their privacy and ensure efficient, organized delivery.

He noted that each student receives a school bag containing a complete set of stationery and supplies suitable for their educational stage, including notebooks, pens, writing and coloring tools, research materials, and engineering supplies, along with a winter jacket to help them prepare for the winter season.

He added that the participation of University of Kuwait medical students gives the project an important educational dimension, allowing young people to engage in field volunteer work and closely understand community needs, thereby enhancing their values of initiative, solidarity, and social responsibility.

Al-Sharaf emphasized that the organization views its volunteer teams as active partners in implementing its mission within Kuwait, and that the success of community initiatives is measured not only by the number of distributed aids but also by their ability to preserve the dignity of beneficiaries, reach them efficiently, and create a real impact on their lives.

In conclusion, he commended the efforts of the “Bus of Goodness” team, the medical students, and all participants in organizing and executing the project, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to developing partnerships with youth talents and directing volunteer work toward well-planned initiatives that respond to the actual needs of beneficiary groups.
